optic that can handle the 458 win mag recoil

hello,

was wondering if you have any brand or model that you will recommend and the ones you will avoid.

i have a leupold fxII 2.5x20 ultralight that will have a german 1 on it but by curiousity.

The one you have is as tough as any. I tried to wreck mine on a .416 Rigby and I'm pretty sure I could hear it laughing.

The trouble is it was a dim little bugger and when the light got poor it let me down. I concluded that a scope was a hunting optic first and DG scope second. I replaced it with a 1.75-6 VX3 that I also couldn't break and was 3 times the optic. My .458 is wearing a 2.5-8 VX3 and guess what? Can't break it either and believe me I tried. Shot it until the front sight fell off and it never blinked. I might have.

I've had a Leupold 1.5x5 with the circle dot reticle on my Zastava for years, it is still doing what it is supposed to do.
