I am looking for a scope around the 5.5-22x50 range. Now I believe the Nightforce is the scope I want,And i may just keep saving for it, it has the il reticual,100 moa travel, good glass and a proper zero stop, everything i want. As with others, I am not sure if i really "need" this scope or not or if its worth saving for. This optic will be going on my sako a7, hopefully used for hunting and varmit and paper out to 1000 yards, hopefully even a bit more for paper. Anyways most of my hunting is at dusk, and will be shooting against a bush background. Low light is my main concern, i like how the sightron has the 100 MOA travel, hopefully wont need a canted rail, postitve tracking, but is the glass good enough without the illumination and is the zero stop really that neccesary? Do you find the vortex Pst good in low light, is 65 MOA enough? If i have to spend $200 on a 20moa base maybe i should just save for the scope i really want?Any thoughts from people that own these would be helpful.
