just picked up a cadex 50 tremor this morning I'm not up to speed with scopes for this caliber of rifles

id like to take advantage of the range of this machine so if you guys can help me out with recommendations would be great!!

thanks guys

I killed 2 Cortex scopes on my .50 - knocked the parallax out of adjustment both times, so you may end up using the lifetime warranty.

My S&B and Nightforce have held up well, as has my Millett Fixed 10x - fewer moving parts with fixed power scope...

NightForce NXS 5.5-22x56

It's what's on mine, using ATRS Xtra High rings IIRC... Scope caps JUST clear the front bell & do not touch the rail...

Cheers
Jay
P.S. Did you grab ammo from P&D in Edmonton? PMC Bronze for $30 a box of 10, can't beat that!

Good info indeed! Nice post op!

I got in on the tail end of the p&d deal, but am still waiting on my .50 to arrive.

Haven't decided on glass for it yet, but I'll be checking out the s&b at wolverine days :)

I have Bushnell Elite Tactical XRS with Spuhr mount.

What's it like if you had a long range optic on a 50 and wanted to shoot at close range with it??? Is it still possible and effective?
?

The parallax adjustment range on my ATACR 7-35x56, is 10m to infinity, so yes if a close pesky gopher was getting on your nerves while you were distance shooting it would be no problem to take care of him.

A 50 cal at a range of 10m should take care of even the toughest Gophers
