Optics on Shotguns are a waste of time. If its a dedicated slug gun, maybe. If you shoot anything else learn to use the irons. Optics and lasers are useless options.
TDC
Weaver makes a rail that will fit the hole pattern.....it's around $15 bucks.
If you want a picatinny rail give these guy's an email and see if they have one for the 590's with ghost rings.....they are super friendly!

I dressed up my 870, side saddle, folding stock, extended mag. In the end took it all off and went back to basics with irons, less bulky and quicker to shoulder, the way a shotgun should be. IMO I wouldn't bother with optics.
Having said that the micro Aimpoint is nice and small. There's also the Burris Fastfire and Docter optic which would have the lowest profile. Eotech's are great but much too bulky for a shotty.
I bought this last week, anybody have any suggestions for a rail and optic for it? Micro aimpoint? Eotech (alittle iffy on these)? Anything else? Thanks

Congratulations! To be honest, though, you don't need optics; with a bit of practice you should be able to hit things out to 100 meters with slugs fairly easily.
Stick with ghost rings for the PERFECT shottie you have right now. Goddamn I love that 590.
Ghost rings are super fast on target, and you can still hit softball sized targets at 100 yards with slugs no prob.
Keep on shootin'

I can use irons just fine. My other gun has a surefire and trijicons on it, I was wondering about a micro aimpoint on this one.
