Optics for M96

The Elcan is a very bulky scope on an M96, it really messes with the balance especially side to side given the height required...I used one like that for about a year or so and it proved cumbersome...
 
look up some reviews on that one, its overpriced for what it does. Go aimpoint for half the money.

Yep. If you go with an ML2 or even a new ML3, it may be more, but completely worth it.

The batteries don't last very long at all on the Tripower, and for what it does, it just barely fixes the "washout" problem.


Aimpoints (especially the new ones) have extremely long battery life, and can do outdoor shooting no problem. They are EXTREMELY bright!

With that said, something like a Leupold 1.5-5 might be a little bit better for that M96, since thats a lot of rifle for just a red-dot.
