Optics on a budget for 2 x AR15 / M4's

Sparc II - Mostly as it's smaller and lighter - if you can find them. I have been having a hard time finding one recently. I have a Sparc II on my NEA and a Strikefire II on my PWS. Strikefire works just fine, but it's much bigger and sticks out like a cold sore.

The Vortex Venom is worth a look too for not much more money. I got one last month and have been using it on my XCR and am very pleased so far.

Buuuut, depending on the ARs you could also buy an Aimpoint Pro with a QRP mount and share it between the rifles?

Can't do that I'm afraid as one of the AR's is my wife's pride and joy

I find the strikefire to have a much better dot than sparc but do like the sparc for pdw's
