Optics on a Hatsan Shotgun

I want to mount a small holographic sight on my Hatsan shotgun. It uses a Weaver mount.

The shotgun has these 11mm dovetails. I want to use one of them to take a 11mm to Weaver base.

The various bases I have looked at are all about 2" long. Too long for the cut out dovetail.

What do I use?

What sight are you mounting?

Other then the small UTG adapters above you could maybe adapt a longer rail with a grinder to fit?

Mounting a cheap (small) holographic sight. It is light, so just one base should do the trick. Need a short one.

Does it have a vent rib? If it does, you can get a vent rib to weaver adapter. Works good for Red Dots because it puts the sight further forward - which I kind of prefer for Red Dot sights.

Plain barrel. Plan on using the forward dovetail on receiver.
