Optics suggestion for CQ311

Seeing as I have not had any answers in the "Black Gun" section, I will ask the same thing here!!::D

I am planning on trying some 3-gun matches this year, and I want some advice for a scope purchase to put on a Norinco CQ311 (AR copy). It must be a carry handle mount.

I don't want to throw a lot of money at the Norc because I am not sure how much use I will get from this stuff, but I do want a reasonable setup that won't cause tons of grief!

Seen the Marstar NCStar scopes, and they look tempting, but I am afraid of their quality.

My latest idea is to use a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7 x 32mm with a low-mount scope base and a thru-hole for using the iron sights as well. Would this be a reasonable setup?:confused:

Anyone out there with a reasonable low-cost setup for the handle mounts that can lead me in the right direction would be appreciated!!
 
You can try and copy what 'Klunk' has done...you can probably use an Eotech in the setup also.

Singlepoint or Armson OEG. They are both occluded eye sights, can be found for relatively cheap on E-bay and what not and are even period correct for the rifle.
 
For the rather short distances involved in IPSC rifle, why not just use the iron sights? You migh just find that optics will be on no use. But, if you insist, I would opt for the little Burris red dot "Fastfire II" It is small, light and would mount to the carry handle type mounts quite easily.

Thanks for the replies folks.

I was told that there could be up to 300 yard shots, and my eyes aren't what they used to be!! And the Norc irons suck too!!:rolleyes:

Anyway, I did buy the Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7 x 32 scope (LeBaron's have a sale this week........under $210 out the door with a club card!!!). I put it on a Weaver base with the peep still viewable through the mount. It looks good, but I will give it a try at the range soon to check it out. Worst case scenario is that I have a good scope to put on another gun if I don't like it on the Norc!!:p

Get an acog nock off. 4x zoom. It should work fine. I think bushnell makes them and also alot on ebay 2.
