They will ship to Canada. However I paid for shipping and then had to pay some other fee before I could pick up my item from the shipping company
 
Bought a sling and some mounts from them, no problems. They have a different version of their online store for Canada and yes it is a lot smaller selection than the US one. Basically, no ITAR items.

I bought a spotting scope from Optics Planet last year, paid with a Canadian credit card, shipped to a US postbox. The only issue I got was bringing it back across the line. The border guard wanted to know what I needed a spotting scope for. "Birdwatching" I said. He looked at me, looked at the .308 casing hanging from my rear view, and told me to have a nice day.
 
So say they won't ship to Canada. Have relatives living in florida. Could I get it shipped to their address and then have them send it to me in the mail with no problems?

Are you prepared to pay their fines and court costs if they get caught trying to send an ITAR controlled item out of the country?
 
That's my plan getting my setup from prophet River but I found all the things I was getting from them for about 100$ more then just the scope. Was going to save about 500$
