optima escort mp tactical, should I? I DID!!!

I purchased a MPA in October .. I reload lee 1oz slugs with waa12 wads, a 20 and a 12 guage overshot card, 19 grains of red dot, and 1 fired Winchester trap hulls, and this unit recycles them like a dream ..

I was lucky enough to find an ATI 6 position Talon stock, and using the supplied ( hatsan) shims kept the OEM stock angle. I also added a Daniel Defence forend grip, located back toward the stock with a 6" rail extention from Yankee Hill Machine .. Very limited rise above ( actually below ) the OEM forend rail

As well as holding a few extra o-rings the forend grip just feels right and coupled with the ATI recoil reducing stock keep recoil very very comfortable for my aging shoulder .. Could fire it all day .. with the added advantage of more muzzle control. Not a factor for everyone, but my reloads are less than $.18 cents each.

Hatsan makes an adjustable stock version, but after using the ATI recoil reducing stock on my M590, I wanted something I had good experience/satisfaction with ..

ATI makes the MP-A a very affordable and capable shotgun - I should know after 10,000+ rnds with mine..And yes thats a Benelli M4 that not shot nearly as much.

I have one of the latest Escort MP versions out for delivery right now. This model, which I've seen called the "Premier" version comes as a 7+1 from the factory. No mag extension apparently, just a longer mag tube. Way cool.

I will post a thread of my first impressions, up close pics, and a short writeup after its arrival next week sometime.

Yeah 8 rounds, pretty awesome! List was $409 plus I got 5% off for being a member at another forum, so I think it was like $390.
I love the look of the green personally, and similar to the Tacs camo one, it is priced a tiny bit more than the straight black. I think I got a good price cause I see this model for $440-480 at other places. Really excited for its arrival. This will be my second Hatsan that I currently own.

Also available in a nickel plated finish,black synthetic/telescopic stock and blued barrel,OD green/telescopic stock.
 
Man i paid 379 for my mp! Wish i knew this was coming out dammit the longer barrel would be better for clays
 
Gun's and Games in the EE section of Shotguns has the OD Green for $425 t/s included to your door, I purchased One Two weeks ago. Most others I contacted wanted $449.95 + t/s.

Great deal! How do you like it? I bought mine from a great dealer that has served me well before, so I really had no problem giving him my money, great guy.
No mention on the 5 year warranty though like I've seen at other places online. Although I believe that's a manufacturer warranty that any Hatsan retailer can facilitate regardless.
That's not something I'm really concerned with, my Marineguard Optima has been a champ, and I never hear about any problems with their pumps, just with some of SA MPAs which Im not into anyways.
The Hatsans get better and better with each new model too, and this is the latest so I'm expecting good things.

The 5 year warranty is offered on behalf of the wholesaler who imports to Canada. Have your serial number handy if you have any issues and contact Bell Outdoors. The warranty is offered on all shotguns and air rifles imported from Hatsan. PM me for details if required.
 
Thanks to this thread I just ordered one from North Pro Sports, $375 to my door. P&D in Edmonton has a green one for $375, but I prefer the black and saved the tax. :)
Now looking for an ATI stock and possibly a barrel extension and choke to make it turn double duty and save wear on my 1956 870 Wingmaster.

Can't wait to try it out!
