Options to upgrade trigger on Beretta 92?

My 92FS is my only handgun. I thought I just sucked at shooting them until I went to Wild West Gun Range and shot some of their 9mm with great accuracy. I think the problem is how hard I need to pull the trigger.

Is there any kits I can purchase in Canada to upgrade the trigger anymore?

Also, is there anywhere I can buy threaded barrels for my 92? Cheers

Stoeger Canada has some 92 trigger options.

Brownells is currently out-of-stock of the Silencerco barrel, but they'll notify you when it's available, and (when it's available) they'll be willing to ship it to you.

I have a 92G Elite with the Langdon Tactical trigger job. I highly recommended buying the "Trigger job in a bag" which includes:
Trigger Bar
Hammer, Sear
Sear Spring
Trigger Spring
Hammer Strut
Reduced Power Hammer Spring

If you cant buy it direct, try A z te c Armory

Fastest and easiest is to install a “D spring,” which is a lighter hammer spring meant for the double action-only D model.

I bought the M*Carbo Beretta 92 spring kit from my friends at Calgary Shooting Centre. You can watch the in-depth video of how to install it at the M*Carbo website, it is a bit involved. But, yes it works exactly as described. My 92 went from an 11-pound double-action pull to a frighteningly light 6.75 pounds. The single-action pull went from 4.75 pounds down to 2.5. I have had one misfire out of 800 rounds of reloaded ammo using Ginex primers, which then fired on the second strike. I have decided to continue testing and if I get another misfire -- even using Ginex -- I will switch to the next heaviest spring. Right off the bat, I installed the lightest springs of the selection that come in the kit.

The Beretta 92FS is a very accurate pistol out of the box, and I am most pleased with mine. I shoot PPC courses with mine, just by myself, practicing for when the wife and I return to Mexico. The PPC/Modified is a very popular course in the Mexican clubs, and the Beretta 92FS is a pistol that can be obtained and registered with a bit of "manipulation" of your local authorities.

I look forward to a restoration of our rights to buy handguns in Canada when Pierre gets in (and if he doesn't come through, well, there's always Mexico isn't there?) so I can send my 92FS off for some cerakoting* -- because if it gets "lost in the mail" right now, it is not replaceable. And that would suck. Watch the M*Carbo video, and trust me, they are not lying to you. The results are that good.

Cheers!

*I am thinking of an O.D. Green frame and a Flat Dark Earth barrel with the slide assembly in original blue.

I shoot 92’s in competition and have both the LTT “trigger job in a bag” and the beretta xtreme-s trigger group. Both are excellent and highly recommended.

That said, I prefer the xtreme over the LTT. The LTT has a slightly crisper break with zero creep. But the initial take up is double that of the xtreme. About 10mm vs 5mm. I found that made a much bigger difference in action shooting for me. I ran both triggers on the same plate racks and dueling trees. The xtreme always came out on top.

You can order the xtreme from stoeger canada. The LTT has to be imported at the site the poster above mentioned.

That site also imports threaded barrels. Stoeger will also sell you a threaded barrel, but you will need to call their parts dept and order one. Mine took over a year to come in… so I would recommend the import route.
