Thanks Bolivar! I found your vid after i posted this, it looks fairly straight foward. Is ther e any rifle restrictions that I should know about? I have seen some intresting things on the you tube!

The idea is to enjoy yourself. If you own more than one rife, try them all. So far I have used a M1 Carbine, a SKS, 858, AR-15, Hi-Point Carbine, Lee Enfield, and M14.

The big separator of good to poor rifles is the ability to reload them while laying on your side in Modified prone. The 858, AR-15, Hi-Point Carbine, M14 are good.

What Ganderite said. No prohibs of course, because the Government says so. A semi auto with detachable mags will probably work best, especially for a new shooter but run what you bring and have a good time. Most of the participants are no super competitive and the ones that are tend not to be dicks about it. Generally speaking everybody is pretty helpful and will provide you with advice if you want it.

Mags are loaded to max of 5, you can use LAR mags but you can't top them up. Mag changes are part of the course of fire. Same with pistol. You either load each mag with 3 or 5 rounds depending on the stage of the match.

Shooter 177 the only real #### out there is that Bolivar guy...... Just pulling his leg. All the guys are great! I did a guest appearance as a Asistant range officer for TimK and was immediatley sorry I didn't bring my gear!! your gonna meet guys that range from first timers like yourself to VERY experienced shooters. how to tell the difference? I don't know... Everyone had big smiles and alot of rounds were being fired. Fun was had by all. The weekend I went out they had guys who could barely speak engrish to guys like Hungry and Ryan from Funker tactical. Shoot one guy shot the whole match with his pistol just because it would be fun.

Get out to a clinic and then a match!! you will NOT regret it!!!
