Thanks to the 22 shooters that made it to CQBm5. I'm told it was a great day. Special thanks to the match staff Dave, Steve, Alec, and Andy. With out dedicated volunteers like this we would not get to shoot. We are only a month away from championship match 6.

It was a perfect day, weather-wise.

CQB is as much a mental game as it is a shooting challenge. I seldom go the entire course without a mental screw up.

This time, the mental error was made before I got to the range. Apparently I took the scope off the rifle and installed a spare. When I started shooting I discovered it had not been zeroed.

I had hopes of winning the shoot, until the practice started. But the winner posted a 491! The highest score we ever had, I think. The kids are getting good. Real good.

If any of you want to shoot some service rifle shoots (Deliberate, Snap and Mover) at 100, 200 and 300, come and shoot the Sporting Rifle Shoot at Amiens on Saturday, Aug 18. PM if you are coming.

Good times, baby!

I’ll see all of you for Saturday 17 September 2018

Always a great time!!

Cheers, Barney.

I know for sure that the Saturday is the 15th, because my daughter is getting married the 14th. This is going to be a logistical challenge coming from Burlington, but I think it can be done.

That was a great match, and some incredible scores. Thanks to the ARO's , quartermaster and stats person for helping out, made things run very smooth.

Thank you to Steve for running the match and doing it well for a first time I might add. Thanks to Dave and other staff as well for allowing us to get some trigger time. Excellent match and had fun. I second people going to Jim's match this weekend as it's a huge ball of fun as well.

A big "Thank you" to all who volunteered to run this event, without whom this match would not have taken place....

Thanks too, to my fellow competitors who contributed to make this match a safe, pleasant, and enjoyable one.

Cheers!

I just wanted to add my thanks to Steve and Dave, along with the other volunteers and shooters. This was my first CQB and it was a blast, I really liked the pace of the match.

I have my sidearm sorted, so no more finger guns 👉 for me, though it will leave me without excuses next time.

Unfortunately, I can't make it to the championship match/BBQ, I hope everyone has a great match and I'm looking forward to the October and November matches.

Special thank to Ganderite for the photos.

Andrew
