The first Precision Match is now scheduled for Sunday June 17th at Mons Range pending any last minute changes as usual. Be ready to shoot from 200 out to 800 yards over 5 individual matches. Please plan on meeting at the Butts "targets" at 7:30am for administration, target assignments, etc and helping out with the setup.
As always bring your lunch and refreshments to eliminate any delays and allow us to get as much shooting in as possible.
The Match Fee will be $25.00 for ORA members and make sure you bring your membership card. The Guest Fee will be $45.00 + the $25.00 Match Fee and make sure you bring your PAL. Please confirm your attendance so I can have the appropriate number of targets prepared and let me know if you will be needing a club gun and ammunition. Email address oraprecision@hotmail.ca
Looking forward to seeing you at Mons,

Great shoot. Thanks to Rudy for organizing. Thanks to Tim K for keeping us on time and moving. I had forgotten how much fun Precision can be. Not give up Thanksgiving Sunday fun mind you but fun none the less.

Hey everybody, if you like getting finished early, let's get there earlier, keep moving and not gabbing, and pare our kit down to the minimum.

Yeah, that one went quickly!

Was anyone else experiencing large vertical flyers at the match?

Anyone else get bitten by ants? My right arm is covered in bites and they're itching like hell today. I must have set up right on top of a nest of fire ants on the 800 yard mound...

Funny you mention that. I didn't seem to be jumping vertically so much as figuring out the wind and I was shooting beside you at the same time.

However, my partner who shot ahead of me was having vertical spreads. Strange.

Maybe 223 is an inherently superior cartridge at long range Laugh2

not vertical that was load related. I had two 4s at 11 o'clock as a result of both tail wind and using a 10x scopes. I believe my partner had 2 as well same side 4s at 11
i could feel the wind coming up my shirt
