It's official and we are a go for this PR Match 2 on Sunday 18 May 2014 at Base Borden. Any updates are going to be posted HERE on this thread, nowhere else. So keep an active eye on this thread.

There have been some complaints about how the ORA website is not accurate (enough). It's a tough, annoying, and thankless job working with that software trying to keep it current through different levels of coordination. It's much easier and straightforward for ME, the PR Match Director to update things quickly, effectively, and timely right here on CGNutz. My apologies, but it works and this means works well. Just have a look at Service Rifle and Service CQB events put on by the ORA and my colleagues, we have large numbers (read: revenues turned in) and a super friendly communty(ies) built up over there. I was/still am part of that, and now I am HERE! :D The smallest match in CQB hovers around 40 shooters. Most of the matches we host at Connaught Ranges in Ottawa need from 12 to 15 targets (multiply by 4 relays). I'll let you do the Math.... :)

Disclaimer:

This is an ORA event run by volunteers and that includes ME! Nobody is getting paid for the delivery of said events. Let's get that out of the way to minimize complaints right now! I ain't getting a penny and I'm giving up my time (read: no road trip out West this summer, and I'm giving up on 10 clinics out there. Don't get me started)

When: Sun 18 May 2014

Timings: Meet at 0700 to 0730

Where: CFB Borden's Mons Range, Target butts area, look for my Grey Tacoma Truck

Cost: ORA Members = $25, Non-Members: $25 + Guest Fee $45 = $70.00

How to Register:

1) Send me a message that you are going to shoot this match.
2) Prepay with EMT (that's preferred but not mandatory) or pay me in cash at Mons Range
4) EMT information:

Name: Tactical Teacher

Cancellations

* Keep an active eye in this thread/forum for updates or cancellations
* Remember that it's the Military's sandbox, so it's their rules! Respect that!

Questions?

* Ask me right here on this thread

* Email: hungry556@rogers.com Since my high school blocks CGNutz site!

Cheers and keep encouraging the noobs out there!

So, what distances are you going to be using for M65 and M66 this year? Kinda hoping we got back to doing 800 and 900 yards since they're closer to the meter distances shot at NSCC...

Uhhmm, let's get Mons Range thawed out first shall we? One step at a time. We are (15 Apr today) over a month away. I'm hoping. As we get closer I can/will make a decision.

If you are planning on attending, send me a PM or email me and I will get ya down on the "Sign In Sheet". You can pay me at the range on the day of the match.

Cheers and peace be the journey!

Well I am packing up the butts gear now. Forecast for tomorrow calls for 4 degrees in the early AM and then it will warm up to 14 in the afternoon. Sunny for most of the day with some clouds. POP calls for 20% rain but 0mm, go figure.

Time to stack the scorecards and stay organized.

We are a green light for PR2 tomorrow!

Cheers, Barney

Thanks for a great match Barney, Base Borden and the ORA! My first match and I have to say I love your style Barney, well run, very friendly and everyone was open and supportive. Looking forward to my next match, the July one sounds too good to miss!

Okay it's been a few days and I need to get some results up here. I've had a stomach bug for the last few days and it's working it's way through my GI tract slowly. And of course I'm stupid enough to go to work since the staff bathroom is right around the corner from my second floor classroom.

I will try to carry out some rudimentary cutting and pasting on Excel just like that last PR match. But right now I need to stay close to the shztter. :). Yuk yuk yuk

Cheers, Barney
I know, too much information :D
