Ordered 5R 308 now down to final choice on optics

I am pleased with the bushnell 3200 3-10x40 on my 5R, but the top end of 10x is a bit lacking for 300m +. My choice was entirely based on budget, and I will be stepping up to either the 4200 tactical 6-24x50 or a comparable Leupold in a years' time. I am quite okay putting a $250 scope on a $1200 rifle.

Looking at the specs, the New falcon scope is a one piece tube, FFP, and addresses the eye relief fault of the previous scopes. About 3.5" at maximum magnification. If I were going to get a Falcon for a .308 that's the one I would get. That being said a SIII will probably sit on my second 5R.

It is true what they say. You dont need a 2000 dollar scope. I just bought my first night force and love it but it isnt required. If I could afford to put one on all my rifles I would. But I cannot and therefore own one NF, 3 bushnells and a tasco.
