Ordered Buckshot from Marstar

Three different stories from three different people is not Marstar thing.
This is way more spread out.

All I can say is that their warranty is good, it compensates for other things.

I guess I will just be patient and realize that there are things behind the scenes at Marstar that I don't know about, such as the large surplus shipments, etc. I recieved a tracking number today and was assured my order was shipped this afternoon. Hopefully things will be smooth from here.

I can assure you that your parcel went out Friday afternoon.
(i saw it myself )
I am not an employee of Marstar but deal with them, and when i go there,
I can assure you no one is standing around chatting, or hiding in back rooms pretending to be looking for something. It is an extremly busy place, staffed by many hardworking employee's .The owner does not sit in an office with his feet up on his desk, puffing on Cuban cigars either. He is right in the midle of the day to day opperations. Be thankfull they are busy, this means they have a great product that people want .You could spend much more money at
another place that seems to provide better service if you wish.
The best way to evaluate how good a business is,
is how good their warrenty or return policy is.

"In all respect to Marstar, if you get that busy, why not hire some more staff "
While I do appreciate your frustration and your simple solution to our problem....

I would like to point out a couple of facts;
We are a rural operation, we are in the middle of nowhere, otherwise we would not have the licenses and facilities that we enjoy here.

Being outside a main city or town of any consequence we do not have a large labour pool to draw from.

While some of our employees now live within a 10-15 minute drive we have people who drive 100km to and fom here every day.

In addition Marstar hires only reputable and knowledgeable people, would you want it any other way ?

We pay way above the "going rate". As well our people must have a security clearance and be registered with CG because of some material we deal in and contracts we have.

In short it is very difficult to find the employees we need.

We are always looking for qualified additions to our team, if anyone out there feels so inclined, e mail me your resume, john@marstar.ca

What do we require ?
Fluent in either French or English, bilingualism an asset.
Must be motivated, a self starter and discreet.
Very important, must be able to work as part of a team.
Must have a valid PAL,
Must be able to pass a security screening with CG.
Must be computer literate, Word, Wordperfect, various e mail programs, Excel, etc.
Must have an extensive knowledge of small arms which includes handguns, rifles, shotguns and automatic weapons.
Must have at least a basic knowledge of munitions.
Be able to discuss and recommend accessories, etc, with clients.

Do you think you would fit in at Marstar ?

I look forward to hearing you
John

johnone,

Sorry about some of my comments, they may have been out of line. I realize that you guys run a great company and being in a rural area hurts because of the labour pool. I was just a bit in the dark as each time I inquired about the status of my order I was told different things from different people. I realize that being busy also makes people make little mistakes, we've all been in that position. I am happy that my ammo has gone out and I will learn to be more patient and understanding to things out of my control.

Marstar does offer great products and services at very good prices, like I've said I've used many thousands of the Frontier bullets they carry.

It was not my intention to bash Marstar, I was just inquiring about other people having issues. Seems to me these issues are minor and common amoungst all gun shops I deal with when they are busy.

what do you need soo much buckshot for anyway?:) however id kinna like to grab a case for plinking around with:cool: if only i had the extra money sitting around to spend on ammo:D

i was having trouble getting ahold of marstar by phone yesterday, but i must admint that i was impressed that johnone quickly addressed my post on CGN, and i was able to get through the next day to place my order/waitlist.

I can see that marstar offers alot of great stuff, and im sure dealing with the Goverment is a ROYAL PITA some times.... long delays etc. plus im sure most of the customers want quality, want it now and want it cheep. but you know how that saying goes, "pick any two".

anyways cant wait to see my vz58l, soon i hope, and i want it for cheep!:)

Marstar is offering good products at great prices. They also lead other firms to keep their prices low. I am a happy Marstar customer. I have had a couple orders where a part was not shipped along with something else. It would have been better if this had not happened. But I always got my oder not too much later and I was just happy I got it at such a reasonable price. Thanks Marstar.

I made a purchase from marstar a while back, showed 2 weeks after they received payment, 2 weeks is not bad, i have been waiting 3 weeks for some tech sights,
I have found Frontier to have the best customer service, Fabsports is great too

Tactical Shotgun matches, have a Benelli M4 Super 90 and Mossberg 590 to feed!

You think I have alot of buckshot, you'd put me in jail if you saw the rest of the ammo stash! :shotgun:

My Buckshot did arrive today from Canpar, a bit of wait and some hassels getting it, but I guess all is good. Even though the CS at Marstar has me thinking it needs improving, my order arrived okay and I am happy with the quality of their products and great pricing. I guess I get a bit impatient sometimes, they finally got the order right and informed me that things were shipped. I am happy now, I have my Buckshot and Marstar can count on me again as a repeat customer. Once things went bad will admit they did their best to get things going to my satisfaction. I will learn patience from this, something I do need to work on!

Just hard to be patient waiting for lots of Buckshot!

WILDBORE;
Your statement "Marstar is known for sloppy service"
is based on what ??
I would appreciate it if you would substantiate your claim.

If our service is so sloppy how do you explain the fact that we are so busy ??

Who else in Canada offers a warranty policy like ours ?
I look forward to your comments
John

I am not saying your store is crap, obviously its good because your busy. I myself have ordered items and found that I never get confirmations, so I have no clue if my order gets though until 8 months later my credit card is charged.
