Ordered my first AR. Update:Came home in time for the holidays!

Well after finally deciding to give a NEA 15 a try for my first AR a couple weeks ago, I got tired of waiting for the secound shipment to come in. This morning I made the call to Armseast and ordered myself a Stag 2R LE. I had a very difficult time deciding to go with a more expensive starter model but in the end figured it will be something to add to as I see fit.
Hope I made a decent choice.
Now, COME ON CFO! Would really like to take it out sometime before going back to work in the new year!

Can't go wrong with STAG and Armseast
Great rifles, one of the best in his price range
Walter at armseast is great to deal with

The extra you paid will mean very little over a lifetime of enjoyment. You've arguably bought a superior quality rifle.

I was dealing with Steve, seemed great. Very patient through a ton of questions. There are a couple other dealers that were great to talk to as well. Can't wait though! Excited like my kids at this time of year:)
Cavs42, how long did it take for the CFO to get your transfer through? I have bought quite a few hand guns over the years, none took more than 24hrs. The last was my colt comander which was same day. I called just to ask for an expected wait time and the woman on at the CFO responds rudely "Well it's restricted you know. You expect it to be done in a day? It can take up to 9 days." Haha, maybe she gets that question a lot.

The Alberta CFO had mine approved the next day. Gotta love living in gun country.

I dealt with Steve too. Great service.

I know it's a pretty basic set up, but I like it! A big thanks to Steve, I said I wanted it before the holidays and he sure delivered!

Nice rifle man!

You do know that we are going to need to see some better pictures though, right? :p

Yeah, gotta figure the rear sight out yet. Hope to have that figured next week and try to get to the range before hollidays are over. I'd like to start with just irons I think, but that Lucid is kind of tempting too. Guess I'll see what I can find and go from there.

Congrats on the AR! You have now entered into an endless world of spending, but its all worth it.

For flip up rear sight Troy is what everyone here will recommend. Even if you have a red dot it can never hurt to have a BUIS as well.

Congrats. My wife still has the picture of me with my first ar on the wall from last christmas. She says she wishes I looked that happy in our wedding pictures.

Shoot it with irons for a while before choosing an optic.
