Ordered myself a Sig today

So I ordered myself a new Sig today. Now I will be joining the ranks of CGNs Sig owners. I opted for the new Tactical Operations p226R with the srt trigger, night sights, truglo front sight extended beavertail, ergo grip, basically fully loaded model, supposed to come with 4 mags (if it were'nt for our laws they'd be super-capacity) hard case. Very excited about this. I've got to get out sometime soon to EOHC to do the range safety test and get a membership there, that too I am looking forward to. Hope to see some of you guys out at the range in a month or so when it all comes together for me!!!

awesome man - welcome to the club! I really look forward to the day I can buy a second Sig, but there are different styles of guns on my list right now and until I buy those I won't buy another pistol :p

Very similar to the elite but with a few minor differences I believe. The elite was one of the 2 I was debating on but opted for the TAC.OPS. I do like the rosewood grips of the elite models though and will see if I can grab a pair maybe on EE when I get my pistol.

Well done....:D, as a very happy sig sauer p229 elite owner all i can say is.............AWSEOME...........you wont be disappointed, i have over 1000rds down the pipe and not one FTF or FTE.

As an aside, I just picked up a Sig STL-900 Laser/Light for mine. Wholesale Sports sells them for $360 plus the tax.....got mine, new in box out of the US on ebay for $137.50 USD, and didn't even get nicked for duty.

Nice light! and would look just right under your Sig.

Good to know. I have not seen the rosewood grips in person but they look nice in photos. I have only used the sig p225. Which I never see for sale or even on there website but it is military issue as a fellow I know carries it and I have used his.

An old friend of mine is a privately trained Blackwater dude. And he has something like 30,000 rounds through his and no issues yet.

I was looking at the insight x300, I always see it on spike personal defense tv show ads. It looks good to. I will have to search prices though
 
Sigs never felt good in my hands, but I'm waiting for Target Sports to bring more E2 models, ppl say their grips are a lot slimmer, plus they come with SRT for not too much $$.
 
Just got mine thursday!

I ordered the same model from Questar and it just arrived Thursday. I have not been out to shoot yet (hopefully Sunday or Monday:D), but it looks and feels great.

I was never really "into" Sigs mainly because I couldn't understand why they cost so much.
I just got a P220 Combat via a trade and love it!(thanks Patrick) Shoots real nice and the fit and finish is amazing. Now I'm drinking the Sig Koolaid.
Don't mean to hi-jack this thread but where can I order a Hogue rubber panel grip(minus the finger groves)?
Been checking all the Gunnutz dealers and Hogue USA wants $24.95 +$22 shipping:eek:
