I ordered the 13# hammer spring and a 15# recoil spring for my SP-01 Tactical. I shoot 124gr reloads. Will I see much difference in recoil or in the trigger? First time I've done this with a pistol so I'm curious.

Trigger will be improved with a lighter pull, more noticeable on the DA with the 13 lb. mainspring. I use an 11 lb. recoil spring so it functions with light reloads.

On my CZ75 SP01 Shadow..11lb recoil spring...13lb hammer spring.
Trigger is good and recoil is lighter on the slide. (I like it)
Also did my friends CZ75B 40S&W DA with a 13lb recoil and 13 hammer spring.
Now....there was a big change there...trigger had a huge improvement.

Trigger pull will be noticeably improved, and can be further reduced by clipping a coil from the new spring. I can't say about the recoil though, as I haven't changed mine out.

Fair enough.
But I really hope we don't see a new thread from you in a week or two;

My CZ pistol keeps on jamming and mis-feeding. Sometimes the slide doesn't lock back on empty. Sometimes the slide doesn't go all the way forward, and I need to tap it into battery. Also, I keep getting light primer strikes. What should I do?

You wouldn't be the first guy to turn a perfectly good gun into a jam-o-matic.

Like any tweaking to a firearm, there are a few that don't like change.
My CZ Shadow with 11lb recoil spring has had zero problems.
(approx 400 rounds so far)
Also......had no problems before the change.
The CZ rocked from the box.

Well it certainly wouldn't be hard to rectify if that happened.
+1. Besides, most guys shooting the Shadow in IPSC use 13# mainspring with a 11# recoil. The 11# is the only way to go if you reload.

I even went as far as ordering a reduced power calibration pack from Wolff to try recoil springs lighter than my 11#. Although i suspect that my 11# is more like 9# after a year of use.

I received my springs in the mail the other day and decided to change them tonight. I watched an 8 minute long video on youtube and it took me maybe 5 minutes to change both springs. It's very easy to work on. I can't wait to try it out, it sure feels better.
