Is it possible to order just a frame/slide/chrome lined barrel in commander or government model 1911s? Thank-you.

Thank-you and thank-you TWICE! That is absolutely brilliant! That allows me to build a 1911 on a forged frame with any and all of the myriad components available on this platform. I have seen some builds on the Norinco 1911s that are simply amazing and they're all custom built by their extremely proud owners. Really looking forward to seeing these items for sale on the web site, if not, I will call it in as soon as I am ready. Cheers again!

I really liked the bare frame I got from Marstar a year or so ago... ...no "made in China" marking either, or any other for that matter.

Is there an ETA for another batch John?

So just doing the math quickly, based on the Marstar parts prices, buying all the Norinco-made components you seem to want from Marstar:

Item Cost (Cdn $)
frame 99.95
slide 139.00
barrel 105.50
total 344.45

Vs buying entire pistols from Marstar:
1911A1-Sport B 349.00 (in stock)
Norinco Commander 349.00 (Sold out, Sept delivery predicted)

If I read what you're trying to do correctly, better to start off with a complete pistol if you're okay retaining those 3 components.

I quickly came to that conclusion as well, however, a Norinco forged frame (according to some well-informed 1911 professionals) is as good as it gets and a great place to start a build.

NNTW;
I really have to agree with you, why not simply buy the "Sports" model we have in stock... ? Great buy and most of the work is done....

Until you do modify it, you've got a gun to shoot. And if you MUST customize it, and change out bits, well, you've got parts to sell! (or keep as spares).

It is a great buy, but I'm cheap and buying a few parts at a time over the winter makes it seem like less of an impact on the wallet.

Any frames in stock?

I guess if you want JUST the frame, okay, less financial impact. But if you think you'd be happy with a Norinco slide and barrel too in your build, why buy the pieces separately?

Heck, you'll end up paying MORE than you would for an entire 1911 (with 2 mags), once you factor in shipping.

True, it's just an idea for now.
