I did a quick search and skimmed some previous threads, but I never did find an answer to my question.

I was going to order some ammo online, I understand that it needs to be shipped via Canpar and Canada Post wants nothing to do with ammo. This means that the courier can't drop it off at the post office for me, correct?

Seeing as how I live out in the country, I have most things delivered to a local business and I pick it up there. Would there be an issue with ammo? I mean, the business won't care if it's ammo and legal (they just don't want to touch anyone's illegal items obviously). But would the courier usually be willing to drop it off to a business that I don't work at or own, nor will I be there to meet them for the drop off when it happens to come around?

I've never had ammo delivered before, so I'm not sure how sticky the delivery company really is on stuff like this.

They don't know its ammo and in rural areas the shipping companies usually have an agreement with a local business for drop off. The locals usually even have the paperwork for you to sign. We used to get ours at the local home hardware

Generally there just needs to be someone who is 18 or older at the delivery address.
All my ammo orders have been in unmarked, brown boxes. No way to tell what it is.

I guess if the delivery driver doesn't know what it is, he/she likely won't care.

I know the place Id get it delivered to won't care if it's ammo or even a rifle, as long as it's packaged up so that nobody walking through the doors can clearly see what it is.

UPS ground will also carry ammo ... cheaper than Canpar, if Canpar attaches its $15.00 dangerious goods fee, that seems compleatly arbitrary.
