Hi Guys,

Looking for a little help. I placed an on-line order with Questar last week. I followed up my order with a Fax and an E-mail. According to their purchase How-To FAQ's, I'm supposed to receive a confirmation E-mail from Questar, along with payment instructions, etc... I still haven't received anything from them and its been 4-5 days. Is this usual or has something come up that has Mark out of the office?

I was kinda' hoping to get the stuff ASAP, and even checked off that I wanted Xpresspost shipping...but now??? I'm not slamming Mark or Questar! Just looking for info. I hope to place many more orders with Questar in the coming months. Any help or advice would be appreciated...and once again, I'd like to reiterate, I'm not slamming Questar! They've got all the cool toys!:)

Yeah, I checked my Junk/Trash folder and nothing. I'm guessing they're just backed up a little. Hopefully they'll be able to get to mine sometime this week. I've got to stop browsing their web site...every time I check it out I find something else that I absolutely NEED...my "mad money" is going to take a hit, that's for sure!:)

I don’t want a copy or digital image of my PAL out there other then the original in my wallet seems shady to me But to each his own

Not much different than having to fax/E-mail a copy of your PAL in order to purchase ammo via mail-order. I can understand a Canadian company wanting to protect themselves from potential criticism should their products be used for nefarious purposes. Just look at what the gun store owner who sold the Virginia Tech nutbar, his guns went through. Lucky for him, he had crossed all his "T's" and dotted all his "i's" and had obeyed the law correctly. If he hadn't, he would've been crucified by the press. Just imagine that kind of thing in a much more anti-gun Canadian context! I can see where the guys are coming from, "..ounce of prevention, worth a pound of cure," yada, yada...

Were you using Gmail? I once had a US dealer not reply to me for weeks because my Gmail was getting filtered on his end... I used another email account and all was well.

Never had a problem with Mark at Questar... he's a good guy; I must have met a certain limit for purchases from him last year because he even sent me a Christmas card (who does that these days?) :) Marks a stand up guy.

Did you check the calendar on his site, he's basically out of office for about half the month. Mark is GTG.

I placed an order with Mark and had no problems. Even though he was on the road I got quick responses to my E-mails..................

This could be the reason:

I wouldn't worry, guessing he is pretty busy lately. I ordered from him about a year ago and I have NO complaints. His prices are very good and he held up his end of the deal...

+1
I've ordered from Mark twice (love those LMT carbines:D ) and he has been very cooperative and kept me well informed on our dealings.

Mark at Questar is awesome. He normally takes care of things right away even though he is very busy. I have some business with him on the go now and am waiting for a reply too. He must be just swamped now or something.....

I have no "life"... let's be perfectly clear on that :(

Should I ever start to forget this my wife is kind enough to remind me

All of you "Gnutz" keep me way too busy so it's just impossible to answer everyone as quickly as they would sometimes like me to. I get 100+ e-mails a day... that means quite simply that some get answered quickly and some get answered more slowly... it's just not possible for everyone to get immediate responses.

I also don't work 12 hours a day 7 days a week anymore... can't do it. So last weeks orders that came in on Thursday are only getting responded to now because I was in the US Friday and Saturday doing importations... once back here the first priority is to get existing customers and orders dealt with so everyone was working on those... new orders are last and so we're just starting to catch up on those today.

Sorry but that's just the way it is... my first priority is to meet my commitments to the people we've already taken orders from and given delivery promises to... first in first out. Once that's done we start processing new order requests.

Sometimes we just don't make everyone happy... I understand that... we can't be everything to everybody. Hope this explains a little better what going on :)

Mark

I just put in an order with them yesterday. Off course I hit the days of section but oh well. I can't gripe about that. It's actually a very smart thing to do. There is only so much time, and I can imagine all the paperwork etc that's required with importing stuff.

By the way Quester if you do read this, keep in mind I don't mind waiting as long as the rifle I get is very accurate :D

Rifle ordered Panther LR-308 also known as an AR-10 in .308 calibre.

I'll start a timeline on this thread (Keep in mind I'm not one of those guys that has to have it tomorrow).

Ordered online 2007-06-21. June 21st 2007. I hit the first day of their block off from orders.

2007-06-24 Faxed in PAL, DL and a copy of my range membership.
