Apparently they have there own interpretation of federal gun laws. they MADE me purchase a combo trigger lock and case and said they HAVE to ship the gun in the box and trigger locked. The kicker is is that they won't give me the combo until it arrives???? Whatever I guess the price was right but that is over and above what they legally have to do, FRUSTRATING cause I already have far to many locks and cases.

I had a Tracker on order from them and then cancelled it. I was totally choked when they told me the whole shipping thing.

Holycow, it is not fun! Is that their own responsbities to pack and ship? I bought my P22 and the local gun store offer me a free trigger lock for free to bring home, To put a little more cost of business and earn more reputation and customs. I was thinking to get the tracker as well.

interesting, i was thinking about their tracker in .22... i guess i'm gonna be seeing my local guy in burnaby instead for it...

yes their 'laws'/policies are pretty stupid but thier prices are pretty good; if you going to buy that Tracker elsewhere you'll pay an extra $100 more

btw the case is only ~$8.5 and it's actually pretty good, I know 'cause I have one, cable lock is like $6...

Don't bother with them if they are making you pay so they can feel high and mighty about their shipping procedures. Is it your fault they interpret the rules that way. No. So why should you pay extra?

My Glock was shipped from P&D in a cardboard box with a disposable trigger lock. Nothing added to a very reasonable price as a result. All legal as far as I can determine.

SIR may have a good price on the pistol you want but you should refuse on principal. If no one complains or takes their bussiness elsewhere as a result of the policy, they will continue to insist on it.

The stupid part is that what does a trigger lock and box do to act as a deterent if it happens to fall in the wrong hands in shipping? Nothing at all. Box open and lock off in minutes- bad guy up to no good.

This is a feel good policy, nothing else. I don't pay my hard earned money for feel good policies- neither should you. If they feel so strongly it should be at their cost, not yours. Just my 0.02 cents.

Send then a trigger lock, one of those 1.99 screw on type, off you go
Restricted must be locked when shipping, and Canada Post does not have to know its a firearm in the package- plain wrapper, make sure it wont fall out

I got my P99 delivered with what you might call a lock, its the threaded plastic unit with the recessed bolt head that use that funny two pronged key to remove it. Is this a legal "trigger lock"?

I think so - hell I think its harder to fabricate a tool to open it than cycle 999 different numbers in a spin lock.

Short of the story - mine arrived the same way, discrete looking box packed with foamies .
