Ordering today Vortex 1-4 PST or Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4

Going on a 16" 556 AR
Leaning towards the Vortex because 30mm and true 1x
Am I ok or other things to consider the Mark AR?

Both are good scopes, Leupold has the advantage of the motion detected turn on and off of the reticule illumination and weighs less, were as the Vortex is a true 1x magnification and has a 4x magnification range, while the Leupold has only 3x magnification range. I have had both scopes in the past. If I had an AR I would choose the Vortex.

After sending 3 Vortex back for warranty work, I will say go with the Leupold !

I've had 2 vortex scopes sent for warranty. Both had canted reticles.

Excellent service, though! Very quick with good communication. PITA, none the less.

Oh Shoot I see the parallax is set to 100 yds
will these work for 25 yds 50 yds etc. ok or will it be all blurry?

Won a lot of CQB matches with the Vortex, and those are shot at 10-35 yards. Never had an issue.

I have sent one Vortex back for warranty. They were very good about it though. I have never had to send a Leupy back. Just saying.
