me thinky china
EDIT: the characters look almost Korean actually.....
880 and 1000rds Chinese...
I have only shot the 880rds and they are hit loads. Left a tiny hairline in the front cover on a SVT40 also recoil significantly harder than MFS or Barnaul factory. Bang every time corrosive
Why? Unless you somehow found a legit unfired one it likely has had a truckload of corrosive put through it since new
Also SVT's are a big PIA to assemble after detailed cleaning unless you have strong tiny hands. At least that's my big , old arthritic hands opinion. Getting that recoil spring assembly back in is always more fun than I am looking for after a long day at the range.
Some lots of that Chinese ammo shoots 1MOA in one of my PU sniper rifles if I do my part.
Getting the recoil assembly is pretty simple if you do the bullet trick
The cover practically falls on
Use a 7.62x54 round in between the back of the receiver and put the bullet tip in the divot on the recoil assembly and it should line up properly with the top cover
It's Chinese as previously mentioned, the can has 53 with some funny characters which means for a Type 53 rifle (Chinese M44 carbine). 71 is a known Chinese factory head stamp as well.
