I call bull#### on this,
I have worked on those in afghanistan, dont recall loosing one or any being sold off.
From the pic, only the badger mount and and forehand may be the same.
Barrel and receiver are not what was part of the UOR riffles in theatre.
To my knowledge only one was left for sale to public and John from WS sold it about a year ago or so.
My 2 cents on this....

The carbon ring a few inches from the end of the barrel make it look like this rifle was shot with a can on it, this helps support the initial story of this being a rifle used in the trials. ( I also could be out to lunch with this theory)

Any thoughts??

I worked with JTF 2 twice oversea's, only once did I see a AR-10. It didnt look like that at all.

I also happen to know that the AR-10s the snipers use are not setup like this at all either. They are still using them, and have no replacement plan for them in the near future.

I'm guessing you bought a beat to #### AR10 supressor ready upper from the U.S A with a bull#### story attached. Now you are trying to cover your loss by making us pay for the B.S story as well.

Prove it or cuddle a kitten.

Canada came out with a IOR (Immediate Operational Requirement) for 18 (yeah 18) 24" Semi-Auto Sniper Rifles for use in Afghanistan in late 2003.

KAC would not built a 24" gun (I know I tried to get them to do it) as part of the SOCOM feedback on the early 24" SR-25 Match Rifles certain units bought in the 1992-1993 period was cut the barrel to 20 at least.

DPMS, Armalite and another vendor submitted rifles. Armalite was chosen.

In around 2007 the Badger handguard was dropped (I got out of the CF in 2005 so my specific timeframe is foggy).

Canadian Special Operations also had some semi guns from various manufacturers.

The Canadian Army is currently staffing a SASS and DMR/SharpShooter requirement. I beleive the Naval Boarding Party has recevied a number of cast off CANSOF guns, as from what I am aware no gun program has yet been released, and a I keep my finger on the pulse up North ;)

Note that the handguard on the subject rifle is the Badger stabilizer
