Hi everyone,

The recent original sharps threads have got me thinking again about one of my carbines.

What makes it unique is there is no serial number on the tang or anywhere else. It has not been refinished in any way and shows her age. The patent markings are present but again, no serial number.

Is there some history around these?

Can you post some pics of the markings, and especially good ones of the action. Some of the folks here may be able to tell what it is by the style of the action/hammer/nipple assemblies.

Here's hoping it's a RARE bird!!!!!!!

Need to have more information including patent dates. This could have been a Meacham conversation or converated by a gunsmith at the time. Any barrel markings, barrel length, number of grooves, patch box, too many questions, need pictures.
