Someone on another thread, discussing the Ideal 310 tool, mentioned the original table top reloader as being the Winchester.
Here is one in 30-30, marked, "30 W.C.F." I have used it and it works fine. Certainly, no one ever said it wasn't strongly built! Just visible on the left end of the die, is the little tit for enlarging the neck to take the bullet, so lead wouldn't be shaved from it.
The die is turned out, the empty brass inserted, then it is turned in finger tight. The handle will be full open, so it is then squeezed shut. The handle will be opened, then the die again turned in and the handle squeezed. It may take three of these operations, because it full length resizes. When the die is unscrewed a device in it pops the empty loose from the die.
Primers are squeezed in.
I would like one of these in 45-70, if someone has one that would like a new home.
