Original, unused M14-E2 stocks available!!!

Mauserdog, AWESOME rifle. I have the rest of summer to try and turn my beauty into a 600M. tack driver. Zombies come, gotta love the autoload feature.. most of the tuning tricks have been done, Except for glass bedding as my triggerassemble is incredibly tight to install..Use a 2x4 and mallettto seat it and Im not too sure if now is the time to glass it or until I've shot 3 or 4 boxes. I was saddened when I oiled the stock as the smell of that birch when getting a sight picture was heavenly. everything about that stock is warm and inviting to me.
Wife is getting pissed I'm workin on it when it's movie time. :dancingbanana:;)
45ACPKING is right, lets see more photos, and thanks to all who have helped
Cheers Chris
Wow, that stock is FAR OUT! Can I suggest you christen it the "Tattoo Rifle"? It has that Modern/Primitive look!

Was trying for "tiger". Hunter's of old, used to personalize thier tools. If I have offended purists of the E2. GFY. My rifle and I was asking a question about bedding. My rifle is meant to put food on the table at a distance my sks can't. I may be over reacting, but she's sweet and she's mine.I have enjoyed working with her, and now she doesn't look like others of her generation, she has wears her new colors well,I think. She likes the "carress". Spelling,I know.
Love the fact that Can Tire hockey tape on both grips firmed up the feel and target aquisition, cause without on oiled wood the sweat, made things not good, IMHO.
Let's see how she shoots. Range report to follow.
Cheers Chris

I see that Treeline now has two different grades of tiger-striped E2 stocks listed, going for $319. and $359.
In many ways, I think they aren't charging enough for these beauties. The "basic" E2 is still listed at $229...a veritable steal.
I'm sorely tempted to buy a bunch as an investment! Not like they grow on trees

Anyone have a stock liner and screws so I can use my OEM folding vert. grip?
You're looking for an"internal reinforcing plate"that the E2 front grip screws into?
Someone who ordered an E2 from Treeline M14 might not need the one that came with theirs,
or you might contact Randy at Treeline and see if he has an extra one.

That's the item. An Internal Reinforcing Plate is what I need. Randy said he has just enough for his stocks and will not sell them alone. Anybody have one to part with so I can mount my grip?

Will post a few after pics once im done sanding it a touch and doing a few layers of tung oil.

Hit it with some brake cleaning spray first, to drive out the iodine based preservative that gives it the orangey
colour.

You sure breakcleaner on wood wont mess it up? bleach it type effect or potentially mess with the original grain.
Its hard to see from that pic but it has a few tigerstripes in it also i kind of want to bring those characteristics out more with the layers of tungoil.

I plan to try it myself when I get around to refurbing my Treeline stock...it was advice I picked up
off the big US M14 forum. Apparently these stocks went in an iodine bath for long term preservation.
Unless you prefer the orangey colour.
