For you M14-E2 fans, I just noticed that Treeline has bnib birch E2 stocks, 1969 vintage for $219.
No metal or other E2 parts included. You can find them on their website under"collector grade USGI (stocks)"
I haven't checked to see if they will ship up here, but they have in the past.

Correction: It DOES come with front ferrule and inside-stock metal.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this stock, the standard M14 buttplate WILL NOT FIT.
Most E2 parts like the forward folding grip and buttplate are nearly unobtanium.

Bad news:

Shipping & Delivery

At this time, Treeline Enterprises ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands.

IIRC, anything ex-M14 - stocks, slings, bolts, trigger groups, anything - is on the no-send list courtesy of DHS. That lumpy ol' bugger that advertises in Shotgun News apparently had a bunch of stuff turned around at the border and won't ship to Canada anymore. I'd be overjoyed to be wrong, but I believe that's the situation right now.

So if you want one, have it sent to your American cousin's, I suppose.
If by lumpy ol' bugger you mean Fred from Fred's stocks, he has never been very Canadian friendly I hear.
Treeline has always welcomed out $$$, but maybe he got his pee pee slapped by ITAR.

It's doubly too bad because if memory serves me right, the original E2 stocks were manufactured here in Canada.

So I've been thinkin about this as you can tell by all the squeaky gear noises and smoke filling the room above my head LOL
Wouldn't those E2 stocks originally be "products of canada" ? There should be a loophole or provision to allow us to "repatriate" those stocks back to Canada. Not saying there is.... I just think there should be :D
Silly we have to be denied simply because they are over 100 usd.... For a canadian made item :( ridiculous

"...won't ship to Canada anymore..." Isn't the seller. Any M14 part is restricted for export by the U.S. Dept of State, regardless of its stated value.
"...Fred's stocks, he has never been..." He was until he got caught shipping restricted parts without the permit.
"...originally be "products of Canada"..." Doubt it. You think they have no birch trees Stateside?

Here is a quote from Lee Emerson's "M14 RHAD", but what does he know, right?

USGI M14E2 Stocks
The M14E2/M14A1 rifle was fitted with a walnut or birch straight-line stock. At least one
laminate wood M14E2 stock was made and it was issued for service. At least 10,350
M14E2 stocks were made in the 1960s. At least 8,350 M14E2 stocks were produced in
1963 and 1964 and another 2000 or better about 1967 or 1968. The first M14E2 stocks
were made in late 1963. Most of the M14E2 stocks were made of birch at Canadian
Arsenals Limited in Long Branch, Ontario, Canada in 1964 to support the M14E2
conversion project at Springfield Armory.

And that's the US Military Springfield Armory and not Springfield Armory Inc .... They shamelessly stole the name when the commercial M1A was born ;)

Anything from the US that's for an M14 cannot be shipped to Canada? When did this occur? Because unless its a new thing it simply ain't true. If you said items with a department of defence number or something to that effect I might buy it.

Get yourself a spare while you can. It really looks perfect in every way...no dents or safe kisses...never oiled or issued!
Think of the one you already have as being well worth it, after all it came with the near impossible to find folding front grip and the E2 buttplate.
