Original, unused M14-E2 stocks available!!!

hmmm do you guys think it would be possible to get an E2 stock, but get rid of the wooden grip and put in an AR style grip instead?

You might be thinking: "Well, why go for an E2 stock in the first place?"

Well the profile of the stock is inherently different:

The buttstock is much higher and if i was to install a cheek rest, it would have to be much less high.

If someone was to buy one of these stocks to put a Norc receiver in, what other parts would be needed? I see that there is nothing metal included in the stock, so I assume that a shooter would need a recoil bolt and butt plate hardware. What else is needed and where can it be found?

The inside metal and the ferrule are included. You have to do the typical mods for fitting the Norc into a USGI stock.
"Popsicle-stick" mod, slight taper-shave of the wood below the receiver, possible minor inletting behind trigger group.
Nice photo 1leg, it really shows the differences between the standard stock & the E2.

You will also need to address the butt stock issue, these don't come with anything back there. Standard M305 butt stock / flip up plates don't work.

I just received my E2 stock from Treeline, it's a beautiful piece of woodworking for a mass production military rifle. The finish texture is a bit rough, I think I will sand it lightly and stain it to seal the wood.

Customs opened the package and inspected it, made a bit of a mess and held it for about a week, but other than about $40 HST no problems in the shipping from the US.

I also have an E2 stock with a very cool looking tiger-stripe grain pattern on my Poly Tech that I paid about $400 for (20 years ago). This stock is at least as nice, and a lot less money though the lack of butt pad is a problem.

I am planning on trying to modify a replacement style M14 rubber butt pad to see if I can get it to fit my Treeline stock. I see them for sale on the High Calibre Services webstore.

I finished mine with a bunch of coats of tung oil. Also modified a rubber butt pad to fit, as well as a sadlak front rail. Crappy cell pic but here's my "e2"... All Winchester parts on norc receiver.

Looks very nice, how did you do the butt pad?

MY E2 stock with proper buttplate, sling, forward grip, bipod and compensator(compensator not on in pic) I purchase a few yrs ago. I shoved my Standard Springfield M1A into her. She cost me a Purdy penny compared to these $219 stocks from Treeline. I gotta say Terrible Tim has one helluva beauty. ;)

Don't be regretful Otokiak...Yours is also a beauty, & your stock fittings are all original USGI...most of our Treeline stocks will have to be finished with repro hardware, IF we can ever find any!

No regrets as she's a beauty and I love it ... just that price is unbeatable for a treeline ... and if they look like terrible tim's I'd like another! HAHA. Cheers,
