Ortona - Moro Cemetery for Remembrance day

Large picture so hope it posts ... this is the Moro cemetery in Italy - near Ortona - Taken yesterday ... these are all Canadians ... men as young as 17. Several identified by unit but ‘known to God’. There will be a ceremony today.

no - just here in Ortona briefly to drop of some items for the museum and attend today’s service at the cemetery ... returning now to Rome.

Enjoy Rome. Gradara is interesting as it is tiered and one hell of a climb.

incidentally I was told by one of the attendees that the youngest Canadian soldier buried here is a 16 year old!

I remember visiting a Grave in Flanders of a Boy that was 14 yrs old.
