Looks like an interesting budget option. They're taking orders now.

WHAT MAKES ORYX SO GREAT.
ORYX is a one-piece integrated aluminium chassis and buttstock created to improve the consistency and accuracy of your bolt action rifle Free Floating Barrel.
We let the bore do the chore. The ORYX keeps your barrel free of any contact with the chassis components for greater consistency.

Solid Action Interface.
Each ORYX is designed for your specific rifle model - holding your action solid for better accuracy.

Integrated Rifle Stock
From the forend to the buttpad - ORYX is one piece of aircraft grade aluminium. Solid. Straight.

Buster- good to know, could've sworn it redirected to a can site. Double checked and it doesn't. Doesn't say us even when in checkout. So again good to know. Still a good value i think.

Even I tried Canada site, at checkout it says USD. As I said I don't mind the price at all but if custom charges me import tax then it is not cool. I will probably confirm with MDT to see if these order will be sent from within Canada or from US.

Btw, the https://mdttac.ca site seems to now redirect everything over to the US .com site. All my saved bookmarks all redirect me to the US only site right now. May be they are updating their site.

Their support told me that they ship from Canada, but site is based in USD.

And I just ordered one for my Rem 700 :) See how it turns out, but I know MDT quality is great

I really hope it's MDT quality. I'm still a bit confused about the branding though. Does anybody know why this is "Oryx - An MDT Brand" instead of the MDT Oryx stock? Could that be to avoid diminishing the perceived quality of MDT brand stocks? They really painted themselves into a corner with the naming convention too.

Site was being redone to go away from using shopify. Shows all prices in $cad now. Dunno if they are fully down the transition yet.

The transition is still underway and some of the payment processing is still being worked out.
All Oryx's are sold in USD as Legacy Sports International (LSI) has sole distributorship worldwide and it is easier to just use the one currency.
If you order an Oryx now, they will ship out from the MDT warehouse near Vancouver, BC.
The reason for the different branding is due to the fact that this is not a "true" MDT product and differs from everything else we make. Does that make it better or worse? We don't think so, but we'll let you decide.

I have shot a handful of these chassis now and I can tell you that they're pretty incredible for the price. If you're a "stock guy/girl" and are much more of a fan of the KRG Bravo or MagPul hunter, then by all means, get one of those and this is not the product for you. If you are looking to switch out your factory stock, or cheap aftermarket option for something more rigid and adjustable, then check these things out!

Thanks for the info. Do you have a top down view of the comb? I can't quite tell the shape of it from the side shots. Or do you have any videos going out on Youtube (or elsewhere) that show what the stock in general is like?

No video's are up yet (that I know of) but a handful of reviewers have hands on time with them, so prepare to see reviews soon!

Depends on what you ordered. If it's one of the in stock models, we will be able to ship out this week hopefully! Being a Canadian warehouse, you won't have to wait for the border, meaning that you should have something in hand in the next few weeks :D
