Oryx An MDT Brand

I’d like to get one of these to make a crossover hunting/target rifle. Similar to the MDT HS3 but trading modularity for a lower price. The polymer side panels would be nice in cold weather compared to an all aluminum chassis and you could get a couple different sets because it’s important to have your rifle match your outfit. I think the value is there at $400US too. I know some of the budget precision rifle builds out there use an LSS and they are pretty affordable if you are the guy with a box full of AR parts to complete it but if you have to buy a buffer tube, stock, grip and cheek riser it can add up a bit.

With the popularity of NRL22 and similar matches I think .22 inlets would be a great match with a lower price chassis. I think people have a hard time spending any money on a .22 because ‘it’s just a .22’

I have a out $750 before tax and shipping costs in to my lss 22 savage fv. Its an incredible shooter now. A chassis for the mark 2 bolt action and 64 semi auto action complete for a little over half is very appealing. Im currently working on a home built chassis for a savage 64. Metal work is not my strong point

Thanks for posting.

Not that anyone asked, but here are my $0.02 from the video:

-No insight on the naming convention.
-####ty packaging.
-Looks cool.
-Front flush cup mount only possible on the bottom of the forend with m-lok so I would expect to have a mag/pistol grip digging into my back.
-No front sling stud for bipod? That's an intense cost reduction move.
-Mix of aluminum and polymer seems cool.
-The hook on the stock seems farther back than most so my arms would be more crossed to hook my support hand there.
