Ok, I was initially waiting for NEA AR, but wanted the enhanced (that I am still planning to get).

So Darren at One Shot Tactical built me this:

Cadex lower
DD LPK
commercial tube
DD bolt
NEA upper
S&J Barrel 10.5in barrel
Neit Arms Crusader Muzzle Brake
KAC M4 Carbine URX
Daniel Defense MK12 Low Profile Gas Block
Magpul ASAP plate
Ergo grip

I added the following:
BCM Gunfighter mod 4 charging handle (CGNer)
Troy front and rear sights (from CQB services a few years back)
Magpul rail covers,VFG and enhanced butt plate (Blaxsun)
magpul ACS stock (CGNer)
EOTech XPS 3-2 (CGNer)

The finish on the CADEX lower is just impressive. It's actually perfect

The NEA upper exterior finish is good, but the interior is of superior quality

upper and lower are a tight fit

Close up of the upper, where you can see marks, that I assume are from cutting

It's a KAC rail, so KAC quality, says it all

The overall product!

The S&J barrel is perfect, both externally and internally. Gave it a good cleaning and extremely shiny with perfect grooving
I also gave a good internal clean of the upper to remove some grease
Lower did not require any maintenance
The DD bolt was extremely dry, perfect firing pin, no issue there, BCG just needed plenty of CLP

Once I can get that thing out of the range, i will post another review
I am extremely please with the service I received from Darren at OSTS. It was the first time that I bought a weapon there (I had bought almost everything else...). He even threw in a few extras :D

I actually had the weapon delivered less than 24hrs after the transfer was completed

That's a ###y rig. I'd like to hear how the Cadex shoots. I think that will be my next lower. Get us a range report, ASAP!

The fit and finish on that lower looks amazing. As does the golden-oak finish on those red-oak stairs.

I was looking to add a NEA upper for the wife...but those rough tooling marks make me want to avoid it untill they get that stuff worked out. Does anyone know if thats common with the NEA uppers?

You'd have to SERIOUSLY #### up a lower for it to have much of an effect on how the rifle shoots.

So unless they've either drilled holes in the wrong spots, or made the holes the wrong shape, or made it out of a material so soft the holes oval out immediately, a gun built on a Cadex lower will shoot the same as the same parts assembled on pretty much any other lower.

Any particular reason you didn't run a longer rail system to protect the gas block?

TDC

It is difficult to install gas block under the URX after installing the barrel nut - it is not possible to install gas block first before tightening up the type 1 barrel nut.

The cadex lower is nice - saw one in person. Some pretty spoiling features such as beveled area above the trigger and it is made of 7075.
