Well I posted the one on Misses, now I have one to share that I am lucky and was moons ago.
Wont babble on but about 20-25 years back, I bought my first brand new Browning bolt. I was the young guy and the chase we were about to do was the devil, hands and knees cant see nothing and water to the knees in places.

An old fellow said young lad here take my old Win Mod 12 and don't wreck your new bolt gun I kindly accepted him handing me a jelly bean handful of shell 2 3/4 and some 3s?? buck shot paper shells LOL I said to him does this take 3s he said not worry she will shoot them??? well who was I to question it.

2 young guys chased the older guys sat on the hill and all hell broke loose deer everyplace, I hear shot after shot after shot, its was a short chase 15 mins max pushing to a fiels between 2 lakes.

I hear one of the old guy yell got one hes in the lake. Me being in good shape at that time run down to see 2 red bones swimming after a only slightly wounded deer. Took a good look and I know where that deer is comming out!! I run for all its worth and sure as #### I beat the deer there, as the deer climbs the shore i let one go and it and CLICK!!!! WTF as I chamber another round the gun felt loose ?? but WT hell a 3 inch went in an KA FRIGGIN POW the barrel goes flying off I am hanging onto a reciever and the deers down spinning, WOW!

The gun was never put together right and had a broken pin that did not lock and was sitting on the second thread, the first 2 3/4 shell did not catch, the 3 inch jammed in hard and allowed the pin to make contact,,,,, i did not know anything about? I was young 16-17 and very luck I have a front left hand! Old mod 12 win! I will never forget that one! I di dget that deer LOL!
one pellet in the head !!! Friggin buck shot first and last time....

When I was younger, our neighbor shot and killed my dog. So I grabbed my 303 and went after the neighbor.

It was getting pretty dark when I saw him skulking around the yard. I shot and he went down.

Well, imagine my surprise when I walked up to him and saw that it wasn't my neighbor at all..it was a sasquatch. and a big one too.

I've shot a few since then, but none as big as that one.

Liar.

A 303 won't kill a sasquatch......

Ya gotta hit 'em just right. There is a soft spot just under the arm about 3/4 up. If you wave and the sasquatch waves back, he opens himself up for that shot.
Otherwise, you are right, using a 303 on a sasquatch is kind of a stunt........

Very funny stuff. I was close to blowing hot coffee through my nose!!

...on to a real...stupid/weird hunting story. I use the word hunting very very loosely here.

About 5 years ago in January, my wife and kids were out on the back deck and I was inside. I get a call from them to come out right away and do so. My black lab had brought a four point antler that he had found out in the bush up to the deck and was chewing on it. (He is a great branch chewer for cleaning his teeth, etc) Of course they all thought that this was hilarious. He had to be bribed with a cookie to give it up and my daughter went and got a couple. She was about to go and give him a couple of cookies when I told her to let me deal with it. *minor argument, Dad trumps kid, dad wins*

So I go to give him the cookie and decide to offer him one for the half rack. I let him smell the hand with the remaining cookies in really well and drive him nuts. Then I proceed to tell him if he wants that cookie to go and "get Daddy the other one". He tears off into the bush and appears back about 15 minutes later with the other half of the rack...and gets his cookies.

Who said Labs were dumb dogs?

Anyway, I have had a nice set of rattling antlers since then. I love my dog.

:)

Well not to tell you to many details,, but we have in the old hunting camp 4-5 pictures of a deer running away with a brand new BDL 308 and its head gear!! For real, no B.S
At the Old foymount cam a guy shot a nice buck with his brand new BLr layed the gun on th eneck stood back and took pictures and the deer decided it was not dead.
Picture 1= Dead dear eyes open
Picture 2= Not a dead dear neck up looking
well

Picture 4 is a white ass running down the road with a gun and sling tanggled in his antlers!!!

As true as the day is long. The gun did not make it far 10-15 feet Poor Carlos LOL and his big buck with his new gun!!! The deer was found buy the next camp over and shot. Shot in the neck did not hurt anything!

This really happened guys
