Otis Smith's 1873 41 short Rimfire????

Ok, since no one has chimed in i'll take a stab at it.
Youve stated it...They are a 41 rimfire...you can search these forums for laoding and cartridge availability.
As for construction...they do seem to be a little better built than some of the other 41RF suicide specials ive seen. Thicker cylinder walls make it a bit stronger. Action is similar to all of the spur triggers...
...make it a centerfire and still prescribed antique. but remember that 41RF is a weak little cartridge...load to 41 colt spec and BOOM! no more fingers. Yould have to chop those 41LC cases wayyy down, load a very light bullet...and I think the original was only 13 grains of black.

I picked up some 41cal rf cases at dixie for my RemingtonDD they have to be short to get into the bottom barrel but work very well with 14 grains of Pyro
and some heeled bullets.
