Hey all. I'm a long time deer hunter and find myself enjoying target shooting just as much. I'm also realizing the cost of ammo cost prohibitive. I've got boxed of used casings and I'm very much interested in learning how to reload 30/30, .243, 6 5 cr, 270.
Anyone in the Ottawa area willing to safely show me the ropes. I'd be willing to pay if needed for your time.

YouTube has tons of excellent instructional videos. Buy a few reloading manuals and read the intro chapters to get any idea of where to start.

You'd also be wise to set a realistic expectation of what your intent it. To set up, and reload a few boxes, will be in the $500-$1000 range fairly easily. I wouldn't suggest that reloading is a way to save money per se.

Also, you'd be wise to secure at least 1k large rifle primers and a few pounds of powder before you consider anything else.

Consider watching RCBS’s reloading videos on YouTube - I like their approach of producing short segments focusing on individual steps in the process (as opposed to long video of all the steps from start to finish).
