Ottawa Police handgun?

Friends of mine with Ottawa Police tell me the Glock 22 in .40 cal is their current sidearm. I believe but am not 100% on this but I have heard .40 cal was selected as the standard police calibre for all police services in Ontario.Perhaps with the goal of attempting to achieve some type of standardization. Does anyone else have any feedback about this?

Glocks, I have seen gen 2 (with the slip on grip) and gen 3 around.

I believe that the Ontario Police Services Act allows either 9 mm or .40, Most use .40

I heard that the Ontario Provincial Police use Sig P229 .40 cal and some Sig P226 9mm
But i also heard that its mostly female officers using the P226

Our club is doing a fun Shoot with the Perth OPP on the 28th.
A PPC 600 match and then BBQ Lunch followed by 2 IDPA stages and one IPSC stage.

Is it Perth OPP or Perth municipal police? The town cops in Perth are pretty easy going.
It's hard to imagine OPP playing with gun nutz!

OPP. Club member I took my Black Badge with is a Perth Municipal guy and couldn't get any other members out so he asked the OPP.
5 agreed so far. Should be fun.
