The heritage act - this is something you can do by pressuring your local MPs and the ministers directly. Writing and calling - not in a high pressure mode, but do it politely and steady. This is a good time as we are just around the Remebrance Day. Use the timing!

The AR part I strongly think that people like CSSA should take that to task. If you are a members, perhaps you can let your executives know your desire.
 
As I read over this thread again, it seems that all the effort is on the AR-15.
Why not all service rifles?
That would open up the FN-FAL series once again.
I dont own a real Canadian C1A1, but I do have an Indian Ishapore 1A1 that I have not been allowed to use for 2 years.
 
From what I read, it don't think it explicitly means the AR15.
Some posts have used the AR as an example, but I think the general idea is to include all service rifles used by the forces, namely and foremost the C1? Otherwise, I don't think the idea of a Heritage Act would fly.
