We put a demonstration kitchen in our new expansion to allow us to greatly increase the educational offerings here at TSE and our first class went off without a hitch!

We are finalizing our offerings and plan on holding all kinds of courses such as:

Canning
Sausage making
Smoking
Game Prep
Various game cooking techniques
etc... etc....

If you have any suggestions, please email me directly: jr@theshootingedge.com

And no, don't worry... I'm not doing the cooking!

Cheers,

JR

This would be a neat course to put on in December when tags had been filled and people have raw ground, cutlets in the freezer. I don't think I'd set up for it. You could maybe offer a voucher/discount for folks taking your PAL course's or give Voucher/Discounts to those taking AHEIA conservation course.

Good thinking. I've taken cooking classes in the past and I enjoyed it. You may convince gunnies to enroll.
Good to diversify, bring more people through the door. In the event that Bill S-223 passes you'll be be ready.

great idea TSE :) but probably would be better in December tho'.

I hunt and butcher and package...my wife gardens, cooks and cans/dehydrates it. We have been doing it for years..hell maybe you could give her a job there...she can make any wild game into a mouthwatering feast.
the best was one Christmas we had moose rouladen (unknown to our dinner guests), and had a bunch of "grocery store" relatives over for dinner. My aunt finishes her second helping and looks at me and declares "now why the hell would anybody ever have to go and kill bambi...when you can eat perfectly good meat like this"
I responded "we'll maybe you aren't into eating bambi....but you sure piled thru your second helping of Bullwinkle no problem"....her face turned green :)

good job guys

When I first read the title, I was like, "whaaaaat the....", but after some thought this seems like a pretty cool idea. Good on ya for trying something different and I hope it works out.
