Out back signs that are posted?

I'd probably respect the sign and it's message but it does seem pretty generic or homemade, no government, oil company, logging company etc. logo or contact number anywhere. A bit weird.

Who owns the land on the other side of the sign?
Posted land is posted land and it is up to the user to be aware of who owns/controls the access.
A Fence is considered a boundary as is a a ditch.
I notice the bit about By-Laws, or contact the RCMP or the BC Conservation Office without a contact number nor any reference to the supposed By-Law.
A little more digging is required in order to find a legal answer to your quest.

Not legit, no logos, no laws sited, no contact information and no governing authority. I would say its either a gun hater or a hunter trying to claim the land for himself

And its just laminated paper not legit

Just wait a few weeks. The red lettering will fade even more and then it will be a Hunting, Shooting and Unauthorized Vehicle area! Lol

This sign have any bite or teeth?
Seen it in my travels and do think it stinks.
Any opinions?
At the time I honored it and turned around, but will find out the whut fores of it.

If you ask nicely, and give me a GPS co-ordinate of this I can tell you who owns the land. But only if you ask nicely like.

Candocad.

The bottom of the sign say call the RCMP why not give the cops a call and ask
We had a logging Company try that on Haida Gwaii but after two weeks of fighting with locals thay gave up and signs went down

Its fenced, likely private property. Respect it. Here in Manitoba I have seen land posted that is for sure crown land. Never fenced though... outside of community pasture.

Yup, saw this last fall. The sign is not recent, the fence shown is in disrepair, hasn't been kept up for years, ditto the old bush road. Within 100 yards is another sign referring to helicopters My best guess is that is an abandoned helicopter pad, no longer usable because of new growth, windfalls, etc. Possibly used for a short time on a nearby forest fire some years ago. No deer or moose either.

Not sure the legalitties of the trespass act for as far as I could see along the fence line there
were no other signs posted.
Seems there is a requirement of sign spacings here in B.C.?

Years ago yes but not now. In fact No signs are required to prevent trespass as long as the property is clearly fenced.

The sign in your original post however looks fishy. I would check with the nearest Conservation Officers to check the validity of the "order".

We had a transplanted "coastie" who tried that near us as he "posted" property he didn't own or control. We set up a shooting range on our side of the line to condition him to the sound of gunfire.

So you aren't sure if the sign is legit enought to stop you from going on private property? Who do you think you are? Or are you going to clear up the question of if this is crown land?
