Out of production rifles you'd like to see brought back...

Less love. My Pre-64 300H&H feeds loaded rounds slicker than it cycles empty. When the new ones are that good, they'll have my attention.

I too would love to see a current production M70 in 300 H&H, I really wish they would produce one.

As far as feeding, I think its also the cartridge. I' bet a current production 300 H&H would cycle just as, or almost as smooth as an old one.

On another note, I wish we could get current production M70's in short actions. I would love a Supergrade in a .222 or a .204. Also, add some lightweight and heavyweight options for them too.

AR-5 bolt action survival rifle in 22 Hornet.
CZ 527 in 222 Remington.

Edit: Wichita 1375 and the other shorter smaller bolt action in its repeating varminter stock. And the BLR and Remington 7600, both in the 222.

X2 for this one.

One thing I see for many of the suggestions in this thread is that while they may be a bit cool, I doubt many of these would generate enough sales to be a good business move for a gunmaker. Oddball does not make for good sales figures.

One thing I would like to see is a more affordable M98 made by Mauser in some of the old classic chamberings but then again, the sales or lack thereof may not support it.

I doubt there’s very many of us even on here that would foot the bill for the rifles requested in this thread if we had to pay the actual cost of them today. For the most part these rifles dissapeared because we wouldn’t foot the bill for them when they were around.
