Out of the Loop - Why can't I find .22LR ANYWHERE!?

Hello,

I'm looking for CCI Blazer 525 packs in particular. I've been to 4 different Canadian Tires, one in Airdrie and a couple around Calgary. Sold out. Bass Pro's .22LR shelf went from a whole 2 racks to an isle-end with barely a pittance on it!

Where did all the .22 go!? Why is everyone telling me they are back ordered indefinitely or for several months? Did I miss something here? Yes, I kinda live under a rock!

Does anyone know where I can get a box of 525, near Calgary/Red Deer?
 
Good luck. Supplies are drying up as the US are buying it up and stock piling like crazy. Rumours have it everything firearm related is going to get tough to find.

Was in the US today and the stores shelves are empty ammo wise.
 
CanAm lists it in stock and free shipping to boot (assuming you buy a case of it...and who wouldn't?)

In edmonton there is millions of rounds of 22lr at cabelas. Albertaboy posted some pictures a while ago.
 
Slowly, one box at a time. Then again, I just got into rimfire a month or so ago. Wally world had 5 rows two high about 3 weeks ago. I read this topic today and ran down there, they only had 4 boxes left....I bought two.

American made ammo will be drying up in Canada due to the situation in the USA. BUY IT WHILE YOU CAN!

Seem to be OK in Quebec, my local store always has stock pile of those. I already grab myself like 10k since we never know when it's dry up. I'm talking about Blazer 525 bulk pack.
 
I was at the Canadian Tire in Marlborough on saturday and bought all the .22lr they had left. all they had was some federal stuff and that crappy wildcat winchester garbage. the Calgary Shooting Centre had a good supply of winchester super x
 
Flys Etc In High River (50kms south of Calgary) has bricks of Blazer, I bought one last week. 23.99 for 500 I believe?

or maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this.............. :D

Obama's plan to boost the economy, is obviously working.

Firearms related industries will have to put on a second or third shift.
