Err been wonder this one for sometime, are we allowed, by law and RCMP, to import European semi-auto rifles by ourselves or through a company? For things like AMP DSR-1 which is made in Europe and is semi-auto and not on the list of restricted firearms afaik.
h t t p://www.amp-ts.com/products/dsr_allgm.html (page is in german)

Now the second question, is it practical to do this, aka will companies like AMP or any other ones deal with potential individual buyers, and will the time it takes for this thing to work its way through the system going to be an eternity?

/puts flame suit on

The AMP DSR-1 is available in Canada from TSE. They can bring them in for a lot less than a private individual ever could. You can have one for just over $10,000, I hear they are accurate.

yup you can do it paperwork is free no fees on our end BUT the rcmp will have to test it before approval and if it fails you will NEVER see your gun or your $$ again as a NON dealer you cannot get the gun make changes and resubmit

o_O ok that would put this in the in-practical section...

guess for anything European i should look for a dealer that imports them already, since the random example i picked was already been imported by TSE...
