So, what did you spend your hard earned money on in '08, and what are you looking to buy in '09?

I picked up a Rem 700 youth .308 for my wife, and a new EDGE stock and couple new Leupold's for me. Also went on a NFLD moose hunt, shot a 42" bull...

For '09, I have my eye on a 22-250 varmint rig and I'd like to have a stainless .264WM or .257WBY, just cuz.

Last year had a 250 Ackley built on a Rem 700 by guntech, had my 700 25/06put into a Brown Precision by Dennis as well, also had a 700 in 8 mag screwed together
Bought a CDL SF in 257 Weatherby for me and a Ruger M77 Compact in 260 Rem for the girl.

This year I'll get a 257 Ackley built and hopefully a 416 Rem on 700's of course:D

I got my non-restricted and restricted firearm licence's in 08
I also got a
- mossberg 464 in 30-30
- auto ordnance colt 1911 in .45 acp
- ruger 10/22 in .22 longrifle
- Boito 2 3/4 12 GAUGE single shot shotgun
I have all these still.

I also got a Lee enfield no1 mk3 that i was told was perfect and it had not one thing good on it so I sold in for parts.

2008 I bought my 8mm Mag back from BroncoMudder, and got a Mcmillan Classic for it. Also picked up a Sako 85 LSS in 338 Federal, a Ruger 10/22 Laminate stainless, and an old Rem 700 ADL in 22-250. For scopes I got a VXII 3-9x33 ultralight and a VXI 2-7x33

for 2009, I just plan on buying nothing :) #### is expensive this year

2 Rem 700 in 30-06
1 Rem 700 in 270 win
1 Rem 700 in 35 Whelen
2 CZ 452s
1 Tikka Hunter in 6.5x55
1 Norc 1911
3 VX-IIs
All in all, it was an expensive 2008. I'll be sending one of the '06s (soon to be 6.5x55) to guntech to work his magic as soon as my McSwirly shows up this year.

A 700 35 whelen came and went back to the same guy...neither of us really understand that one.
Sako AV 300 win mag that I miss went
Kimber 84m in 308 went

Theonly addition was an original 700 Ti 7mm SAUM which is pretty sweet.
The only thing that may come this year is a target rifle of some sort, maybe a 6.5x284

Let see, for 2008......

- Rembo put together for me my Mountain .260 Rem from a new stainless Remington SPS and .260 Rem mountain barrel that I got from EE. I installed it in a Ti take off and a Leupold 2-7x33 in Talleys.

- Got a Remington LVSF in .22-250 from Tod's store. Got a NIB Leupold 3.5-10x40 from EE for it and installed in Talleys.

- Got a NEF 20g Tamer ordered from WSS (still waiting, back ordered)

- Two McMillan stocks on order (should get them in the Spring). One for my Ruger .35 Whelen and one for the above Remington LVSF.

Got to admit that I also sold 4 rifles earlier in the year that funded some of those purchases.

2008 brought me,
Norinco NP-22
SKS-D(sold it)
CZ-858
Ruger 10-22

2009 I have on a NEF .204 on the way already, and will be looking at a new Glock 22.

Hmmmm 2008 wasn't too bad of a year for me, didn't get everything i wanted (but who does?!) but i did get quite a few accessories including:

NIB Tikka Laminate/stainless in .22-250
NIB Mossberg 535 12 gauge, 3 barrel combo
A Leupold VX-II, 3-9x-40mm
and various calls and decoys, etc.
Last but not least i just ordered a Ruger 10/22 DSP Dec. 28th that i can't wait to get.

All in all, certainly nothing to complain about. :) Hopefully 2009 brings a new reloading kit, a .30 cal rifle, a CZ .22lr and a FoxPro FX3 and what the hell maybe a pistol of some sort.

in 08' I bought...

375 H&H in Ruger #1?
338wm/338umag/325wsm?

Looks like another expensive year.

At least it isnt gettings wasted on hookers and blow... :)

Every year I tell myself that I'm easing way back on the buying and selling, and instead am going to buy more components and shoot more. But it looks like I bought/sold/traded at least a dozen rifles this year.

For 2009? I've got the parts almost assembled for a heavy 223AI in an A5, and a medium sporter in 25-284. What I haven't got in hand is ordered. Other than buying more components that's it.

A 700 35 whelen came and went back to the same guy...neither of us really understand that one.

I bought .....

700 CDL in 35 Whelen [bought back]

08
Remington 8A and a 14A both in 25Rem.
Savage 40 in 250-3000 and a G&H mount to fit.
Savage 23C in 32-20, and a NRA receiver sight. Also a Weaver 3-6.
Krag carbine 1898 in 30 US. Got a Weaver k2.5 for this one.
Husqvarna 1100 Deluxe in 06, Buehler mounts and a Weaver V7 to be put on.
German Mauser in 9,3x57
Steven's Visible Loader 22
Remington 12A(2) and a No.6 boys rifle, both in 22LR

That escapade near broke the bank. Don't plan to buy much this year but there is some serious load development to do, got all the dies and brass last year. The Mauser needs TLC but is at least firing now.

There is also the Ram going to the taxidermist, and the non-trophy hide at the tannery. I guess it is a good thing I didn't get that bear......

2008 was a busy year.
The 2 highlights where a Model 75 S/S Sako in 7mm-08 can't say enough about this one and a Model 70 Stainless Featherweight Classic in 308 Win both in excellent + condition.

1 disappointment was I purchased a new Savage Camo Stainless Muzzle loader and I can't get it to shoot well. Don't know much about muzzle loaders and the frustration has out weighed the joy so I think it will soon be finding a new home. Really to bad as I have only fired it about 30 times but there are just so many variables with a muzzle loader that I have completely lost interest in it.

2009
Hopefully, I can find one of the new Browning ShortTrac's in a 7mm-08 Rem and maybe a Browning x-bolt Stainless Stalker in 280 Rem.

for 2009, I just plan on buying nothing s**t is expensive this year

Not if you can find 2008 stock.....:D

30TC was most notable for 08 and started 09 with a new Kimber 8400 in .338 at 2008 pricing! :D

Got an A7 still on order with a February delivery date and might look at a new varmint rig......

2008 was a busy one for me. Mostly sold and don't really want to dwell much on them cause I sold some beauties last year. I used the cash to upgrade optics and buy some backpacking gear but I will still miss my guns. I bought two new guns in 2008 and I will be sticking with them. I picked up a Ruger 375 Alaskan and a new Sako A7 in 270 WSM. The Sako was an Xmas present from my wife and parents...

Sold a bunch, till I had a 30-06 and a 223 left for centerfire bolt-actions.

Then bought a 375 Ruger Alaskan.

Might add a 243 or 25-06 in '09...... prolly a couple of Leupolds. And then just hunt every chance I can get.....

Bought an o/u Boito 410 and sold it later
CZ468 22lr single shot trainer for the old lady
Winnie 1906 takedown pump 22lr
CZ452 leftie 22lr
CZ527 leftie 223
Marlin Glenfield 30-30
Winnie 9422 cherry used (smokin deal)
Sold a Cooey 39 (replaced with above CZ468)
"60s Remmie 870 Wingmaster (getting new stocks)
Sold a Marlin 336 project gun that I wanted to change into 45/70 or 38-55 and could not get the parts for.
No plans for 2009 but Maynards auction coming up on my birthday April 3 and there is the Kamloops show too...:)
