Aside from Genesee/CHAS, Spruce Grove and Sherwood Park, are there any other outdoor ranges in the Edmonton area? Also wondering where the IPSC/3 gun type of people hang out, aside from the above ranges and Phoenix. Wondering if there are other ranges/clubs out there I haven't heard of.

There is Wildwood range, Edson range (with a 1600m rifle range) Ponoka, Athabasca. Most of the action shooting sports happens at Spruce Grove.

I just stumbled onto Wildwood's website, looks like a nice range. I looked into Ponoka before, it seems that the range is only available every Tuesday?

ETA: I looked at the website again..I was referring to how pistol shooting is booked for Tuesdays. I think these are organized shoots. Seems like a pain though because it seems that it's closed for general usage if there's an organized shoot/event, plus if there's someone shooting trap, you can't use the rifle/pistol range..

There is also the Nordic Club biathalon .22 range beside the Sunridge ski hill in Strathcona Provincial Park.

It doesn't get much attention, probably because it's .22 only.

I totally think we should push for beefing up the biathalon and getting centerfire back in there.

Can I use my AR? It's a .22(3)..lol I don't have any .22s so I am not interested if that's all that's allowed. I'm just looking for a range that doesn't make it super difficult for someone to shoot CQB style/distances with pistol or AR..
