It is best to have printed copies. The COs I have spoken too said they bear no responsibility for a persons phone if they accidently damage it or drop it out of the boat or in a puddle.

Well, they can say that all day, but if they do, you can eventually (key word here) get the MNR to pay.

Why do you even care if you have the card or not? Print off your summary and go hunting or fishing. You're legal with the card providing it has recently been purchased and it's in the mail.

Ordered mine early December, got it last week. I carried the summary with me with my old card, was never stopped, checked or bothered by anyone who might make my life miserable. Pretty easy system in my mind, and I don't mind printing my own tags. I am self employed, keep an office in my house and have all the comps and printers to handle it, saves me going to a licence issuer. And I have a heavy duty double zip lock pouch to carry everything in, I don't mind it at all.
