Outer impact red dot adapter? Update,got it installed.

So ,I’ve had enough fucing around with this and just put the outer plate on.
Also just ordered a Vortex Defender RD.

Maybe I’ll get one of my 1911 s cut.

So I finally got the plate and decided to go with vortex defender St 3 moa dot.
Pretty quick install,battery that came with it was dead but I had extra batteries on hand so no big deal.
I think it looks ok but I imagine if I had the slide milled it would look better.
Dot is real bright but it looks like a bunch of smaller dots to form a circle? Is that normal?
Wondering if I should remove the front sight on my gun as well?

You are probably discovering you have a mild astigmatism and that's why the dot looks a bit starbursty.

I wouldn't remove the front sight. It's not harming anything
